    • Thanks Claire, I have gained some techno skills, but haven’t had time to get all the pictures on line. Have to make sure I still have all the carvings on hand that I post here. Let me suggest you subscribe to the blog so that you will be notified when lighthouses get on line. Shalom.

    • Hi,
I had help with the set up and have been working on it since. The blog builder I worked with is a friend. Her name is Mel and her WordPress site is “Lifelines” You could contact her there. If that doesn’t work for you, contact me again and I will get an email address for you. Thanks for looking in here – have you subscribed? Hope you have success in building a blog. Let me know when you get there. Shalom, John

Do you do custom wood carvings? I would like a “whimsical village” carved horizontally!
I haven’t found any photo’s or carvings of what I want, but I can send you pics of my house to give you an idea of the setting it’s going into.
    Thanks
    Thomas

    • Hi Thomas,

Thanks for looking in on the blog. I have not responded to your email since I was on a quick family trip to Colorado this week. Home now. To answer your questions – I do make custom wood carvings. We can talk about what you want might desire and what we can do. Send me some pictures. There are several examples your question draws to mind. Let’s discuss something.

      Shalom. John

Do you have anyone in Edmonton, Alberta that does custom carvings?

    December 16, 2010 at 2:08 pm

    • Sorry, Thomas. I do not know anyone in the Edmonton area who carves. I have plenty of Canadian friends and family, but none in Edmonton. John

    • Hi Evi, Sorry for a loooooong delay in replying. I have been in China for the past two years. Poor Internet, limited time. Hope to return to the blog once I am back in the States. I do enjoy bark carving. Have no good source for it in China. Here I have used recycled IKEA bed posts, old chairs, limbs falling from the poplar trees on my university campus. Will post pictures of some of that work soon. Looking forward to checking out your site. John
