36th ANNUAL. DUNELAND WOODCARVERS SHOW 2012
I know that many of you who check out this blog will not be able to attend this particular wood carving show, however, I do log the show information for those who might be able to. If you do attend one, I would really appreciate seeing some pictures of the work being displayed. Send them via this blog and I will work to include them in a future post.
For all who can attend the show, stop by and say hello. I will look for you there. Shalom.

My part of a table – Duneland Woodcarvers Show
It has been over a month since the Duneland Woodcarvers Show. I have lots more pictures. Thought I would share a few here. The first is of my display table at the show. I shared it with my friend, Jeff Postma. His daughter also kept us good company.

Chess set by Joe Calderone
One carver that I have always liked is Joe Calderone. Joe has done some great pieces. I like the reliefs he had there.

Great relief by Calderone
Wood carving shows are always fun. Always new people to meet and great carving to see. Hope you can make the next Duneland Woodcarvers Show.
I’ll have more pictures of other carvers soon.

First place Caricature
The 35th Duneland Woodcarvers Show is complete. The Woodland Park main hall in Portage, IN was filled with great wood carvings for show and for sale. Larry and Carol Yudis and the Wood Craft Shop from Davenport, Iowa were there. Other vendors provided many materials useful to the wood carving enthusiast. It was my estimation that the Saturday crowd of visitors was stronger than last year’s. Good to see so many children and young people attending the show.
I have lots of pictures but wanted to get a few on line to show you what there was to see. The pictures here are first and second place carvings for Human caricature and for Bark carving. The reason for showing these two categories out of the 40 available will be obvious to the reader.
The first pieces are from the human caricature. First place went to John Sisun. My set of three faces garnered a second.
Green hat two eyes.
The second set of pieces come from the Bark carving category. Ron Muskina again took first place with his Indian bust. Perhaps next year someone will give him a little more competition.
